Ms Lonelyheart is having diner alone and jeff feels alone. When she finds a man, he gets closer with lisa. (this parts kinda a blur) When she is going to kill herself, its around the time when thorwald sees him. Or the pills happened around when lisa was breaking into the house. That fact lonelyhearts was going to kill herself and thorwald saw him, he was a symbol of death and something dangerous. Seeing the pills and her writing a note could have been for-shadowing for something bad is going to happen.
