Hitchcock and his average shot length
I think that Hitchcock uses average shot length to make us think even more because he gives us a shot that might have the smallest meaning, but he stays on it and that lures us into believing it has a deeper meaning. Like when they show the half dressed lady dancing, that probably has the smallest meaning but because he keeps coming back to it and staying on it for a while it makes us think as the audience what does it mean and what is their importance.
