Russian film experiment

By using the Russian film experiment face in almost every scene, viewers are able to project their own emotions onto jimmy Stewart. This makes the movie interesting because 2 people could have totally different ideas about the same exact scene depending on what they felt when they saw it. Because his face shows no emotion, your able to make him feel or think whatever you want.

manipulation

I agree with what has been said. The fact that we feel these things upon seeing a face with no emotion about a certain scene or image without even thinking about it is a form of manipulation. We are given the option to think what we want, but then again we are forced to, due to there not being any true emotion given to us

i agree because as Hitchcock uses the Russian experiment in almost every scene the audience are able to put their own emotions to Jeremy stewart blank face.many people could stare at his blank face and each person may or may not have the same emotional ideas about his blank face. as Jeremy stewart expresses no emotion you are able to make him have emotions.
