Point Of View Empty Point Of View

Post  courtneymartin Mon Dec 10, 2012 10:52 pm

Hitchcock gave us the point of view of the main character, Jeff, to let us in on the sneakiness and awkwardness that he feels while watching his neighbors. This technique draws in the audience and makes the movie more personal to them. Hitchcock gives his audience a slight advantage while watching the movie by letting them see something that the main character himself does not.
