Rear Window Point of View

Post  Chandler Piekarski on Mon Dec 10, 2012 10:12 pm

Alfred Hitchcock creates a point of view where the audience feels sneaky and undercover snooping around the neighborhood watching whatever is going on. We mainly join the view with L.B. Jefferies who is played by Jimmy Stewart and the handicapped photographer is trapped in a wheelchair and all the entertainment he has is watching what his neighbors do all day. It ends up backfiring on him and as soon as Lars Thorwald the so called wife murder realizes he is being watched and scares the audience and JB Jefferies when Thorwald himself realizes its us. He rushes into Jefferies apartment and strangles him hangs him outside his window and drops him giving us all a scare.
